Here are some tell-tale signs that she has a romantic interest in you.
1.Fidget, fidget…
She might fidget or play with her hair or clothing. According to research on nonverbal signs of romantic interest, toying with a sleeve or fidgeting with a button could actually be flirting.
2.It’s All in the Eyes
She may make prolonged eye contact. This is a great way for her to get your attention and let you know she is interested. If she is nervous or she thinks she caught you looking at her, she may give you a series of fleeting glances. Some women are shy and not feel bold enough to make eye contact for 3 seconds.
3.Awkward Teasing Anyone?
If she is near you, she may make some awkward compliments and tease you like when you were in high school. It is tough sometimes for women to flirt, so they may resort to this instead of showing interest directly. Will the small little jabs reminiscent of middle school be there? Maybe! Women may just throw that bonus in while having a laugh with you.
4.Little Touches
In addition to that playful jab, she may briefly touch your arm, your leg or if she is really bold, your hand. Take note of this one because she knows when she does this, she is flirting with you. As you two talk, watch for those playful little touches she gives to show interest.
5.She Lights Up
When you walk in the room or she first sees you her eyebrows raise up and her eyes light up. Does she look excited to see you? As opposed to a small smile and a casual wave. Did her face change into a large grin when she saw you arrive? This is another sign that you have sparked her fancy.
6.Open Body Language
Watching her body language can really help you gauge her interest. Besides the light touches on your arm, watch for how her body is positioned to yours. If her body is turned to face you, with her feet pointing towards you, it’s all good! If she was not interested, her body would be slanted away from you while she scanned the crowd or her feet would be poised to walk away at the first opportunity.
7.Does She Follow You on SM?
Does she frequently comment on your posts or like/share your content? Now, this does not always indicate romantic interest, so look for the other signs. She may combine this with making off-topic conversation or referencing an event coming up that she would like to attend.
8.Getting Cozy
Did she move her body closer to yours? Close physical proximity is another sign of attraction. Unless you are being shoved together in a line waiting to board a plane, she would not be moving closer to you unless she was interested. She may even take advantage of a noisy environment to move closer so you can make cosier conversation.
9.Meet Cute
Did you have a surprise 1st encounter? Did you meet under surprising circumstances? Well once beyond that happy coincidence (if you believe in coincidences that is) if you continue to run into each other at the water cooler at work, at the neighborhood dog park while out with your furry friends, or you bump into each other at the grocery store, maybe she is trying to make time for you. No, not the stalker variety, she just wants to get to know you better and instead of shying away as you approach the area, she says hello and makes conversation.
It may take you some practice to learn to pick up on these signs. You are appealing and once you start to believe that, you will be open to receiving the signs that she is genuinely interested.
